The Ivybridge Rail Users Group The aims of the group are to maintain a viable rail service for Ivybridge, to gain improvements to facilities at Ivybridge railway station and to encourage use of the services by the citizens of the Ivybridge and the wider South Hams area.
The Melksham Save the Train campaign is trying to save the railway service between Swindon and Southampton. The line shoud provide a good service through th West wilts Corrdior, which has road congestion problems and poor bus / train co-ordination, and on which ticket sales rose by 35% last year.

The Salisbury to Exeter Lineside Consortium of Authorities (SELCA) has been set up to steer the future of the Salisbury-Exeter railway. Devon are the 'technical managers' of SELCA, while Somerset hold the secretariat.
